Who am I?
My name’s Anastasiia,
but you can call me Nastya!
MAKEUP ARTIST
I could be yours!
DANCER
when the music hits
UKRAINIAN
married to an Aussie!
I grew up in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. I finished school there and began studying Economics at university, but life had very different plans for me…
During my second year at uni, I was offered a job in Tianjin, China as a dancer and I said yes. The contract was meant to be six months, but I ended up working in China for five years
During that time, I met my husband, Rob. We worked at the same theme park, started dating in 2017, and did several contracts together. My final dance contract was in Wuhan, where Rob and I were living together in our little apartment.
At the beginning of 2020, I woke up to a message on my phone that said something like: “There is a dangerous virus spreading. The city is closed. Please stay at home.”
After a few weeks, Rob was evacuated to Australia and I was evacuated to Ukraine. We thought we would meet somewhere in Europe in a few weeks… but Australia closed its borders, and suddenly we were in a long-distance relationship with no clear end in sight.
Between my contracts in China, I had completed a makeup course, so back in Ukraine, I started working as a makeup artist. I instantly fell in love with it. I became obsessed with learning more about different styles, techniques, and how to work with different face shapes and features.
Time passed, the borders remained closed, and Rob and I decided to begin the long and stressful process of applying for my Australian visa.
At the end of 2021, Australia finally reopened its borders. Rob flew to Ukraine and we spent two beautiful months together. He left at the beginning of February 2022, my visa still wasn’t ready. Our plan was to see each other again in a few months.
Then, on the morning of February 24th, 2022, just two weeks after Rob left, the war started in Ukraine. The day after the war began, my Australian visa was approved. That same evening, I left my city, travelled to Poland, and flew to Brisbane. The journey took five days. I had to leave most of my belongings behind, clothes, makeup, everything. I arrived in Australia with a few T-shirts, one pair of shorts, some underwear, and the clothes I was wearing
In May 2022, I began building my makeup business in Brisbane. With the support of my husband, his family, and a few generous makeup artists, it slowly started to grow.
Today, I am proud to say that my business has grown into something bigger than I could have imagined when I first arrived in Australia.
I have worked with many beautiful clients who return to me again and again, and who recommend me to their friends and family.
I work in a variety of styles, but my approach is always the same - every look is tailored to the unique face in front of me. I believe makeup is not just about trends or styles; it’s about technique, balance, and enhancing natural beauty.
During each appointment, we talk through your vision and build the look together. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable space where you feel confident to share your thoughts, because the best results happen when we create your dream look together.
As for Rob and me… he proposed in July 2022 and of course, I said yes. We got married on the 1st of June 2025. My mum and friends travelled all the way to Bali to celebrate this special day with me.
Life can take us through incredibly difficult times, but sometimes, those paths lead us exactly where we’re meant to be.
Thank you for reading my story. I would love to meet you and do your makeup one day.
Love, Nastya 🤍
